Obituary for Timothy Ray Fletcher

Timothy Ray Fletcher passed away Saturday, May 9, 2020 at his home in Nash, Texas. He was 69.

Tim was born December 11, 1950, in Dallas, Texas, to Chester and Christine Sartain Fletcher. On January 26, 1980, he was married to Thyresa Davis in De Kalb, Texas. He was a retired Supervisory Accountant from Red River Army Depot. Tim received his Masters Degree in Business from Texas A&M University Texarkana, was a member of the Sons of the Confederate Veterans, a member of De Kalb Masonic Lodge #9 and was of the Christian faith. Tim served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and received a Bronze Star for his service during the Gulf War.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Christine Fletcher.

He is survived by his wife, Thyresa Fletcher of Nash, Texas; two daughters and sons-in-law, Candi and Eric Hignight of New Boston, Texas and Crista and Jef Carr of De Kalb, Texas; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Hal and Cindy Fletcher of Nash, Texas and Greg and Ginger Fletcher of Michigan; 12 grandchildren, Madison Daniel, Allyson, Katie, Jase, Hailey and Harper Hignight and Kailey, Kenzie, Kourtney, Khloe, Aiden and Noah Carr; a special friend, Sherry Cooper of Nash, Texas; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Memorial Services will be held at a later date, under the direction of Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas.
