Obituary for Marjorie Lynn Spriggs

Marjorie Lynn Spriggs, age 65, left this life to join her Heavenly Father on Monday, August 12, 2019.

Marjorie was born August 18, 1953 in Hobbs, New Mexico to Clarence Edward and Nora Ann Mills Johnson.  She was a Homemaker and a member of Gravel Hill Baptist Church in Oak Grove, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Spriggs; her parents, Clarence and Nora Johnson; a sister Sandra Swieczkowski; a brother Michael Johnson; and a brother in-law, Jim Stanton.  

She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Princess Taylor of New Boston and Lea Ann and Russell McDonald of Liberty Eylau; a son and daughter in-law, Tanner and Lisa Swieczkowski of Texarkana; a brother Lawrence Johnson of Austin;  four sisters and three brother in-laws, Edwina Stanton and Leonard Jackson of Powderly, Diana Johnson and William Kestler, Rhonda and John Stout, and Rebecca Adams, all of New Boston; eight grandchildren Wesley Holmes, Emily Holmes, Trinity Taylor, Serenity Taylor, Kacy Taylor, Leigan Smith, Michael Shelly, and Weston Swieczkowski; 3 great-grandchildren, a special niece and friend Robin Erwin, and a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.  

Memorial Services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Gravel Hill Baptist Church in Oak Grove, Texas. Cremation carried out under the direction of Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas.
