Obituary for Haldeen Peacock

Haldeen Peacock passed away Thursday, September 5, 2019 at his home in Lydia, Texas. He was 87.

Haldeen was born October 23, 1931, in Lydia, Texas, to Alvin and Pauline Taylor Peacock. On May 24, 1952, he was married to Bobbie Lafferty in Texarkana, Arkansas.  He was a retired Time and Motion Inspector with Red River Army Depot, was a 50 year member of Avery Masonic Lodge, a member of the Scottish Rite and a member of Avery Missionary Baptist Church. Haldeen was a Veteran of the United States Navy.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son-in-law, Robin Beal, Sr.

He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Lafferty Peacock of Lydia, Texas; a son, Randy Peacock of Lydia, Texas; a daughter, Paula Beal of New Boston, Texas; 5 grandchildren, Robin Beal, Jr. of Rockville, Maryland,  Aaron Beal of Tyler, Texas, Randa and Mitch Ramsey of Emory, Texas, Rowdy Peacock of Boxelder, Texas and Seth Peacock of Boxelder, Texas; 2 great grandchildren, Ella Ramsey and Cannon Ramsey; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas with Rev. Roddy Jackson officiating. Interment will follow at Lydia Cemetery in Lydia, Texas.

Memorials may be made to a Church or Charity of your choice.
