Obituary:
Mr. John Lee Foster passed away Saturday, July 17, 2010 at his home in Simms, Texas. He was 88.

John was born January 30, 1922 in Simms, Texas to William and Lula Mae Moore Foster. On November 1, 1942 he married Polly Anna Tucker in De Kalb, Texas. He was a Retired Shop Inspector from Red River Army Depot, a member of College Hill Baptist Church in De Kalb, Texas, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a long time member of the National Rifle Association.

He is survived by his wife, Polly Tucker Foster of Simms, Texas; two daughters and sons-in-laws, Judy and Rob Stueve of Hot Springs, Arkansas and Janet and Terry Lyon of Simms, Texas; a son, David Allen Foster of Simms, Texas; a daughter-in-law, Lynn Foster of Simms, Texas; three brothers, Jimmy Dale Foster of Simms, Texas, Leland Foster of Simms, Texas and Kenneth Foster of Linden, Texas; a sister, Betty Lou Farrar of Simms, Texas; 10 grandchildren and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two sons; Gary Lee Foster and Johnny Ray Foster.

Visitation will be 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Monday, July 19, 2010 at Bates Family Funeral Home.

Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, July 19, 2010 at Bates Family Funeral Home with Robby Bates and Rev. Tracy Wilkes officiating. Interment will follow at Sand Hill Cemetery in Simms, Texas.
