Obituary:
Mrs. Cindy Son passed away Saturday, June 19, 2010 at her home in De Kalb, Texas. She was 50 years of age.

Cindy was born May 30, 1960 in Washington, D.C. to James and Delma Highnight Counselman. On August 10, 1979, she married Danny Ray Son in Hooks, Texas. She was a Special Education Aide with Western Bowie County Co-Op, a volunteer coach for the Bowie County Special Olympics and a member of Pinkham Memorial Missionary Baptist Church in De Kalb, Texas.

She is survived by her husband, Danny Son of De Kalb, Texas; her mother and stepfather, Anne and Harry Allen of Hooks, Texas; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Robby and Tonya Son of New Boston, Texas and Chris Son of De Kalb, Texas; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Sharon and Darrow Harrison of Wake Village, Texas, Terri and Dubb Medaries of Shreveport, Louisiana, Shelia and Scott Brady of Great Falls, Montana and Linda and Dave Cassell of Washington, D.C.; a brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Anita Counselman of Washington, D.C.; one grandchild, Addley Son and many other family members.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Counselman in 2010.

Visitation will be 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at Bates Family Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at Pinkham Memorial Missionary Baptist Church in De Kalb, Texas with Rev. Don McPherson officiating. Interment will follow at Woodmen Cemetery.

I am so sorry for the loss of Cindy. She was such a special person and will really be missed by all that knew her. I just want to tell my "Twin" Chris that I love him and will do what I can for him.
