Lynn was a wonderful and kind man. He really could spin a tale. Many people in our community looked up to him. Our hearts go out to the Shumake family.

My wife and I only met Mr. & Mrs. Shumake on Wednesday June 9, 2010 at Albert Pike Camp Grounds, but left feeling as though we had known them for years. We new within that short period just how much they loved the Lord, Family and their Church. Our hearts are saddened and pray that God will heal the pain that come during a time such as this. Wade,Debbie,Tony, and Barbara and Families: I am so sorry for the loss of your Mom and Dad and son/nephew. I know The Lord will take care of them as they took care of others. Be at peace to know that They have done Their work for the Lord and therefore he took them home to be with Him. Be at peace to know, also that they won't have to try to survive each others grief because they were taken together. Lynn and Wilene were wonderful people, an example for others professionally and personally. They loved their family and leave behind a legacy of faith, commitment and love. Grandchildren are one of God's greatest gifts and Nic was truly the epitome of a wonderful grandson. I know yall dont know me but I heard a lot about you all from Lynn! I worked with him at Red River a few years ago. Lynn became like a grandpa to me, my work grandpa. He picked on me and I dished it back we got along great! I wanted yall to know that it was a honor to have met him and to be able to work with such a WONDERFUL, GREAT, and AWESOME MAN. He was one of them people you couldnt help but love and get along with. I hate that something this bad had to happen to such a great man..... But God needed some more angels in heaven and all i got to say he chose some might fine! Im am so very sorry for yalls lost he will truly be missed and he was truly loved by everyone he touched! He taught me a lot and I will walys be thankful and Ill owe him til the day I die!! RIP LYNN WE WILL BE MISSING YALL!!! I KNOW YOUR WATCHING OVER ALL OF US!!

He was alway a big help when every I needed him. Sorry I was unable to attend the visitation or service.
