(August 02, 1935 to June 03, 2010 ) Resident of De Kalb, Texas Visitation Information: There will be no visitation for Mr. Granbery. Obituary: David Charles Granbery, 74, of DeKalb, Texas, died Thursday, June 3, 2010, in a Temple, Texas hospital. Memorial services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Saturday, June 12, 2010, at the family residence 1773 CR 4234, DeKalb, Tx. Son-In-Law, Marvin Morton, will officiate along with other family members. Cremation and funeral services will be under the direction of Bates Family Funeral Home, DeKalb, Texas. Mr. Granbery was born August 2, 1935, near DeKalb, Texas to Henry Newton Granbery and Salley Burden Granbery. He was a retired executive vice-president and co-owner of Cougar Drilling Company. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Presley Granbery in 2006; a son, Richard Kevin Granbery in 1967; and by a grandson, Joshua Watlington in 2007; and two Great Grandchildren: Kayla Jackson in 2005; and Prisscilla Faith Miller in 1997.He attended the Assembly of God Church. He is survived by his wife: Patricia Ann Baucum of DeKalb, Texas. One Son: Scott Granbery of DeKalb, Tx. Three Daughters and two sons-in-law: Debra Outhier of Cordell, Oklahoma; Renee and Marvin Morton of Arlington, Texas; and Vicki and Rick Fugitt of Hawaii. Three Step Children: Ronnie Greene, Kelly Renee Clark, and Bonnie J. Dail, all of Odessa, Tx. Two Sisters: Ethel Miller of DeKalb, Tx; and Myrtis Barr of Mission, Tx. Nine Grandchildren: Hunter McGuire, Matthew Granbery, Lloyd Granbery, Nathan Granbery, Amanda Granbery, Boston Fugitt, Steven Jackson, Robert Cayot, and Diana Cayot. Five Step Grandchildren: Andrew Anderson, Zack Clark, Xana Clark, Ashley Wheeler, and Kay Leigh Wheeler and several Great Grandchildren. |
