Roy Lee Inman - age: 61

Friday, March 26, 2010 Bates Family Funeral Home Obituary: Mr. Roy Lee Inman of De Kalb, Texas passed away Thursday, March 25, 2010 at a Texarkana hospital. He was 61. Roy was born October 20, 1948 in De Kalb, Texas to Grady and Maggie Wilsford Inman. On July 23, 1966, he married Anna Lou Culpepper in De Kalb, Texas. He was a Gas Plant Supervisor and a member of First Baptist Church, De Kalb, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Anna Lou Inman of De Kalb, Texas; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lea Anna and Taylor McKinnie of De Kalb, Texas and Julie and Shannon Matthews of Ashdown, Arkansas; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Lance and Lorie Inman of Texarkana, Texas and Lane Inman of Texarkana, Texas; a sister, Bernice Martin of De Kalb, Texas; five grandchildren, Madison and Garrison McKinnie, Chandler and Chase Matthews and Kayley Inman and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Grady and Maggie Inman; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Weldon and Opal Culpepper; a brother, Dean Inman; a brother-in-law, Harold Martin; and four nephews, Tony Inman, Curt Culpepper, Paul Culpepper and Steve Culpepper. Visitation will be held 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday, March 26, 2010 at Bates Family Funeral Home. Services will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, March 27, 2010 at Bates Family Funeral Home with Rev. Anthony Troup, Rev. John Watts, and Robby Bates officiating. Interment will follow at Wards Creek Cemetery. My wife and I would like to offer our condolences for the passing of Roy. He was a good man and I have many fond memories of spending time at the Inman house. I pray that the Lord will bring peace and comfort to you.
