Obituary:
Mrs. Oma Dean Palmer of Avery, Texas passed away Monday, March 15, 2010 at a Texarkana Hospital. She was 77.

Dean was born April 10, 1932 in Lula, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church, Avery, Texas.

She is survived by her husband, Donal Gene Palmer of Avery, Texas; two daughters and a son-in-law, Patricia and Lynn Trimm of Avery, Texas and Barbara Whitecotton of De Kalb, Texas; 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Stella; and a sister, Ethel Winn.

Visitation will be held 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at Bates Family Funeral Home.

Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 18, 2010 at Bates Family Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Deanie Lambert and Rev. Gary McCain officiating. Interment will follow at Avery Cemetery.
