Wish we could be there to celebrate his life with ya'll. Lot's of good memories from turkey hunting to deer hunting to snake hunting to alligator hunting, fishing and the occasional beer....... He was definitely one of a kind and no one could hold a candle to his joke telling! He will greatly be missed. Tommy Stansbury & Allen Hubert

Patricia and family; tried to reach you via telephone, however the number is not working. My heart goes out to you and your family. I have great memories of Gerald; running down the field with his foot ball jersey (number 11) he was so handsome & proud. I will keep you and the family in my prayers, and I know Gerald is in a better place now without suffering. Love, Glenda Citty (Guyton)

Patricia and family, I was just thinking about you all and decided to try to find you. I tried typing in your name and Betty's and when I tried typing in Gerald's name, it pulled up his obituary. I am so sorry for your loss. Even though I was only five when we moved from DeKalb, I still remember playing with you and even when we moved back to Detroit, Daddy would pick you up on his way home from work at the Red River Arsenal. I can vaguely remember Gerald and Betty and your parents. If you will e-mail me sometime, I will give you my phone number. My email is annamj1951@gmail.com. Love, Anna Shelton Jackson (David and Marie Shelton's daughter)
