Tuesday, March 2, 2010 Bates Family Funeral Home Obituary: Mr. Houston Sanford of De Kalb, Texas, passed away Monday, February 28, 2010, at a Texarkana Hospital. He was 77. Houston was born February 4, 1933 in Malta, Texas, to B.B. and Edith Carter Sanford. He was a Road Grader Operator for N.A. Tank Car Co. and a member of Siloam Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Sanford of De Kalb, Texas; a son, Dennis Sanford of Port Allen, Louisiana; six grandchildren, Lorie Norton and her husband Michael, Christy Herrington and her husband John, Cory Seneca, Brandon Sanford, Kayla Sanford and Lacey Sanford; and six great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Sanford Hudson. Visitation will be 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at Bates Family Funeral Home. Services will be held 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at Bates Family Funeral Home with Rev. John Watts and Rev. Steve Minter officiating. Interment will follow at Woodmen Cemetery. Click Here for Video |
