Obituary:
Mrs. Carline Mathews Gibson of Simms, Texas, passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at East Texas Medical Center in Tyler, Texas. She was 62.

Carline was born April 28, 1947, in De Kalb, Texas, to Elmer and Dessie Hearron Matthews. On February 9, 1963, she married Charles Henry Gibson in Simms, Texas. She was a homemaker and member of Harvest Temple Church in Simms, Texas.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Henry Gibson of Simms, Texas; two daughters and sons-in-law, Vicky Rodriguez and Dennis Hanna of Simms, Texas and Demanda Gibson and Shane Frost of Cookville, Texas; a son and daughter-in-law, Dwight and Billie Gibson of Paris, Texas; eight grandchildren, Shawn Austin, Victor, Lena C., and Kourtney Rodriguez, Ashely Johnston, Kristdena and Miranda Gibson and Tiffany Villela.

She is preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, David, Harvey, Howard and Hubert Matthews; a sister, Maxine Smith; and a grandson, Eric Allen Villela.

Visitation will be 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday, February 12, 2010 at Bates Family Funeral Home.

Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 13, 2010 at Bates Family Funeral Home with Rev. John Ratliff officiating. Interment will follow at Roberts Cemetery in De Kalb, Texas.
