Obituary:
Mrs. Claudie Mae Scott passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2009, at a New Boston nursing home. She was 92.

Mrs. Scott was born September 13, 1916 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas (Titus County) to Wilburn P. and Effie Penny. She was married to James Roy Scott. Mrs. Scott was a homemaker and a Baptist.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Donna Scott of Malta, Texas; a daughter, Annette Scott of De Kalb, Texas; a daughter-in-law, Diane Scott of Lufkin, Texas; seven grandchildren: Tommy Scott, Tim Scott, Tammy Cooper, Stewart Scott, Ray Sckittone, Ashley Scott, and Brian Scott; and eight great grandchildren.

Mrs. Scott was preceded in death by her husband, James Roy Scott, in 1977; and a son, Thomas Ray Scott, in 1993.

Visitation will be 9:00 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. Friday, August 28, 2009, at Bates Family Funeral Home.

A Graveside service will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 28, 2009 at Liberty Hill Cemetery in De Kalb, Texas under the direction of Bates Family Funeral Home with Robby Bates officiating.
