Obituary:
Mr. Kenneth Loyd Collins of De Kalb, Texas passed away Monday, January 25, 2010 at a Longview, Texas hospital. He was 66.

Kenneth was born June 19, 1943 in Crossroads, Arkansas, to Homer Love and Ruby Frances Talent Collins. He was an Electroplater for Red River Army Depot and a Baptist. On June 10, 1994, he married Patty Lynn Weaver in Miller County, Arkansas.

He is survived by his wife, Patty Collins of De Kalb, Texas; parents, Homer and Ruby Collins of De Kalb, Texas; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Kenny Love and Kim Collins of Whitehouse, Texas and Randy Loyd Collins of Paris, Texas; two stepsons and stepdaughters-in-law, Roy and Whitney Hopson of Eagletown, Oklahoma and Joey and Sherry Hopson of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; a stepdaughter and stepson-in-law, Teresa and Don Cook of Eagletown, Oklahoma and three grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by a brother, Anthony Collins.

Visitation will be 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at Bates Family Funeral Home.

Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, January 28, 2010 Bates Family Funeral Home with Robby Bates officiating. Interment will follow at Old Salem Cemetery, New Boston, Texas.
