Obituary:
Mrs. Kay Frances Lea of De Kalb, Texas passed away Saturday, January 9, 2010 at a Texarkana Hospital. She was 94.

Kay was born October 19, 1915 in Paris, Kentucky, to Henry and Etta Mae Payne Lawrence. She married Ed Lea on December 24, 1944 in Ft. Jackson, South Carolina. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church, De Kalb, Texas.

Survivors include two brothers, James Lawrence of De Kalb, Texas and Edgar Lawrence of Ashland, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Norma Lawrence of De Kalb, Texas and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ed Lea; a sister, Vivian Lawrence; and three brothers, Clarence, Earl, and Frank Lawrence.

Visitation will be 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at Bates Family Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at Bates Family Funeral Home with Rev. Walter Jackson officiating. Interment will follow at Woodmen Cemetery.
