So sorry for the loss of your mother. She was my third grade teacher in 1955 in New Boston. She made such an impression on me. I felt especially close to her because my name is "Jane". She was sweet, beautiful, fun and made learning exciting. There were not enough classrooms at the elementary school so our third grade class was at the high school which was a little frightening for us young children! We had no playground but Mrs. Gillis played "jacks" and other games with us. It was a wonderful year. She and Mr. Gillis were such a beautiful couple. I know you are proud of them both. I did not know where she moved and did not know that she had gone to school in James Bowie. She was still a beautiful lady and it looks as though she and Mr. Gillis had a wonderful family. May God bless you all. Jane Stone Skaggs
