Wednesday, December 2, 2009 Bates Family Funeral Home Obituary: Mr. John Ed Eaton passed away Monday, November 30, 2009 at his home in Simms, Texas. He was 62. John was born September 21, 1947 in Texarkana, Texas to Alvin Edward and Edna Lee Thompson Eaton. He was a forklift operator at Red River Army Depot and a member of the Outlaw Hunting Club. He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Jonna and Tommy Reed of DeKalb, Texas; a son, Eddie Eaton of Simms, Texas; and three grandchildren, Todd, Tyler and Taylor Reed of De Kalb, Texas. Visitation will be 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at Bates Family Funeral Home. Services will be held 10:00 A.M. Thursday, December 3, 2009 at Bates Family Funeral Home with Robby Bates officiating. Interment will follow at Sand Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to a church or charity of your choice.
