Thursday, November 12, 2009 Bates Family Funeral Home Obituary: Mrs. Mary Chiles McCullough passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at a Texarkana, Arkansas Nursing Home. She was 86. Mary was born October 6, 1923 to James Irvin and Opal Lee Foster McMillan. She was a retired secretery for the City of De Kalb and a member of First Baptist Church of De Kalb, Texas. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Judy Chiles of Bryan, Texas and Mike and Kathryn Chiles of Maud, Texas; a stepson and stepdaughter-in-law, Curtis Lee and Rita McCullough of De Kalb, Texas; a stepdaughter and stepson-in-law, Brenda and Travis White of De Kalb, Texas; a brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Betty McMillan of Maud, Texas; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Quint Chiles and Curtis McCullough; a sister, Gloria Miller; a brother, R.J. McMillan; and a daughter, Cristi Cooper. Visitation will be 12:00 P.M. to 1:00 P.M. Thursday, November 12, 2009 at the Bates Family Funeral Home. Services will be held 1:00 P.M. Thursday, November 12, 2009 at Bates Family Funeral Home with Robby Bates officiating. Interment will follow at Woodmen Cemetery in De Kalb, Texas. Sorry I cannot be there, but I live in Phoenix and would be impossible for me to make it in time. I will be in Bowie County for Christmas and will try to get in touch then. Aunt Mary was a wonderful person and I will always remember her charming personality and beautiful smile. I send my love and condolences to all of you. Julia Ann
