Obituary:
Mr. Darwin Clevenger passed away Sunday, November 1, 2009 at a Texarkana Hospital. He was 69.

Darwin was born November 7, 1939 in Muncie, Indiana to Max and Evelyn Clevenger. He was a construction worker and horse trainer. Darwin was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a member of Pinkham Memorial Missionary Baptist Church.

He is survived by two brothers, Max E. Clevenger of Yorktown, Indiana and Michael L. Clevenger of Muncie, Indiana; five sisters and four brothers-in-law, Janis L. and Joe Scott of Muncie, Indiana, Cynthia G. and Larry Holaday of Farmland, Indiana, Suzanne D. Norris of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Ann D. and Carol Meyer of Fairfield, Ohio, Phyllis Lorraine and Shannon Johnson of Muncie, Indiana and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife Betty Faulkner Clevenger; his parents, Max B. and Evelyn O. Clevenger; a brother, Dee Clevenger; and a sister, Patricia L. Haffner.

Visitation will be 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. Monday, November 9, 2009 at Bates Family Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held 10:00 A.M. Monday, November 9, 2009 at Woodmen Cemetery with Robby Bates officiating.
