Obituary:
Juanita Florence Akins, of De Kalb, Texas, passed away Friday, August 26, 2011 at a Dallas, Texas nursing center. She was 87.

Juanita was born May 19, 1924 in Avery, Texas. She was a retired bank teller and a homemaker. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, where she served as Past Worthy Matron and was a Baptist.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Dale Akins; a granddaughter, Tanna Marie Crain; and a grandson, Christopher Paul Akins.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Peggy Akins of Mesquite, Texas; a daughter and son-in-law, Cathy Ann and Jim Burns of Sholo, Arizona; seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, two nephews and a niece.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at Woodmen Cemetery in De Kalb, Texas with Robby Bates officiating.

So sorry to hear about Juanita's passing, haven't been able to reach her for nearly 6-8 weeks, wondering about her, very sad news. Please accept my family and Johnnie Mae McDaniel's sympathy at this difficult time. She was a dear friend that stood for me on our golden anniversary.
