Monday, November 2, 2009 Bates Family Funeral Home Obituary: Mr. Bill "Daigo" Horne passed away Saturday, October 31, 2009 at his home in De Kalb. He was 65. Bill was born September 17, 1944 to William Mac and Gladys Marie Pilgrim Horne. On June 28, 1971, he married Erma Dell Cooper in Idabel, Oklahoma. He was a truck driver and a mechanic for Bowie County Schools. He served in the National Gaurd and was a member of College Hill Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Erma Cooper Horne of De Kalb, Texas; two daughters and sons-in-law, Carla and Carroll Bryant, Jr. of Hope, Arkansas and Cristie and Dan Rainey of De Kalb, Texas; a brother-in-law, Sidney Cooper of Hooks, Texas; two grandchildren, Aftan Bryant and Ally Bryant and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation will be 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. Monday, November 2, 2009 at Bates Family Funeral Home. Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at Bates Family Funeral Home with Bro. James Ratliff and Bro. Richard Wade officiating. In Lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorials be made to the College Hill Baptist Church Building Fund, c/o Vonda Clark, 5206 FM 44 East, De Kalb, Texas 75559. Click Here for Video |
