Obituary:
Chester L. Harrington, 68, of De Kalb, Texas died early Friday, June 24, 2011, at his residence.

Chester was born August 15, 1942, at Wright City, Oklahoma, to Barney C. and Pauline Clayborn Harrington. He married Judy Ann Westphalen on November 2, 1963, in Hugo, Oklahoma. He was a retired munitions operator with Red River Army Depot. He was a born-again Christian.

Surviving family members include his wife: Judy Harrington of De Kalb; three daughters and sons-in-law, Robyn and Joe Anderson, Pamela and Lance Montgomery and Jennifer and Richard Coleman, all of De Kalb; his mother, Pauline Harrington of De Kalb; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Billy and Camilla Harrington of Douglassville, Texas, Steve and Marsha Harrington of Atlanta, Texas, and Ricky and Jill Harrington of Texarkana, Texas; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Judy and David Simpson of Clarksville, Texas, Gena and Rickey Coats of Atlanta, and Rhonda Harrington of De Kalb; six grandchildren, Tyler Anderson, Caitlin and Chas Montgomery, Ava, Jack and Julia Coleman; two uncles, V.H. Harrington and Harold Harrington; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, June 26, 2011 at First United Methodist Church in De Kalb with Buddy Ray, Pastor Mike Ulmer, and Rev. Doug Wintermute officiating. Burial will be in Hubbard Chapel Cemetery, under the direction of Bates Family Funeral Home.
