The Family will have a meal at the First Baptist Church in De Kalb, upstairs in the old building, at 12:00 P.M. Saturday, October 31, 2009.

Visitation will be held 1:00 P.M to 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 31, 2009 at Bates Family Funeral Home.

Obituary:
Mrs. Ola O'Rear passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at Sunny Acres Nursing Home. She was 85.

Ola was born October 5, 1924 in De Kalb, Texas to L. V. and Hazel Cunningham Cash. On January 6, 1942, she married J.R. O'Rear. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of De Kalb, Texas.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Sharlotte and Rich Steward of De Kalb, Texas; a son and daughter-in-law Jerry and Donna O'Rear of New Boston, Texas; a brother and sister-in law, Norris and Peggy Cash of Holly Lake Ranch, Texas; grandchildren, Denise and Lynn Davis, Jerry Don O'Rear, Sara Lantrip, Bryan and Ilene Steward, and Angie Steward; nine great grandchildren, Trip, Chloe and Addie Davis; Aislinn and Ashtonn Lantrip; Vince, Corrinne, Zane and Evonne Steward and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ola is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, J.R. O'Rear; a son, Roger O'Rear; and a sister, Boyce Elliott.

Visitation will be 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 31, 2009 at Bates Family Funeral Home.

Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 31, 2009 at Bates Family Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Paul Saylors, Rev. Norris Cash, and Rev. James Coffman officiating. Interment will follow at Woodmen Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for memorials to be made to Dierksen Hospice, 6500 N. Summerhill Rd., Texarkana, Texas 75503; Woodmen Cemetery, P.O. Box 331, De Kalb, Texas 75559; or First Baptist Church Building Fund, 204 NW Fulton, De Kalb, Texas 75559.

My sympathy to the O'Rear family, especially Denise, Chloe , and Trip. I knew Mrs. Ola years ago. She was a wonderful sweet lady.
